IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE... ...affecting all Knorr-Bremse Brake Calipers fitted to Mercedes Benz Actros, Atego, Iveco, Scania 4 Series, Daf, BPW, SAF, and Discos for example. Knorr-Bremse have been advised by a major fleet operator and by several independent CV factors that some brake pad manufacturers are supplying brake pads without the necessary retaining spring clips and pins. The re-use of old spring clips can lead to displacement of brake pads which in turn will cause damage to both caliper and rotor. In extreme cases this could lead to brake failure!!! Genuine Knorr-Bremse brake pads are supplied complete with the correct safety critical fittings. Please also note that it is imperative that brake pads fitted to Knorr-Bremse calipers are of the correct friction material grade and are only fitted as an axle set. Knorr-Bremse will accept no responsibility for pad or brake failure caused by the fitting of incorrect pads or the re-use of old pad retaining fittings.
